The Legend of Vox Machina follows a band of misfit mercenaries who would much rather chase easy coin and cheap ale than save the world, until a string of threats forces them to grow up fast. What begins as a rowdy job for hire in the kingdom of Tal’Dorei turns into a sprawling fantasy saga of revenge, dragons, gods and found family.
Born from Critical Role’s long-running Dungeons & Dragons campaign, the series keeps the tabletop spirit alive: the party bickers, bluffs and barrels into trouble, and every victory costs them something. Across four seasons the stakes climb from a personal vendetta in the city of Whitestone to dragon armies scorching the skies and powers far older than any kingdom. It is an adult animation through and through — violent, profane and darkly funny — with a cast whose chemistry carries even the quietest campfire scenes.
