Overview
In Sentenced to Be a Hero, heroism is not an honour but a sentence. Xylo Forbartz, a man condemned for killing a goddess, is forced to keep fighting as part of Penal Hero Unit 9004, a unit of criminals sent against wave after wave of monstrous enemies. Death offers no release: the unit is brought back again and again, so every battle is both a punishment and a chance to survive a little longer.
The story turns when Xylo meets Teoritta, a mysterious new goddess whose arrival gives the condemned unit an unexpected ally. Together, they begin to push back against the system that keeps them chained to endless war, turning a grim cycle of combat into a rebellion with something worth fighting for.
