Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I’m Not the Demon Lord

Overview

Villainess Level 99 follows a college student who only wants a quiet, uneventful life — and then wakes up reborn as Yumiella Dolkness, the hidden villainess of the otome game she used to play. In the game, Yumiella is a secret boss so powerful that she only appears after the main story ends. Yumiella, however, has no interest in playing the villain. She would much rather keep her head down, stay out of trouble, and live peacefully at the magic academy.

Her plan falls apart because she cannot quite switch off her gamer instincts. Training in secret, she grinds her way up to level 99 — the highest level in the game — long before anyone else. Suddenly the whole academy is convinced that the quiet girl with the black hair and the terrifying aura must be the Demon Lord in disguise. The result is a warm, funny fantasy comedy about a girl who is far too strong for her own good, the classmates who slowly befriend her anyway, and the misunderstanding that just keeps growing.
